You should be able to tell the difference by looking at the different colors if you have the option of trying both. A clear, clean base layer (which is most likely already in the paint business) works best. If you can't choose between a clear base layer and a glossy base layer simply put two or three to get a better understanding of each.

Next to painting the nail the next day you can put your face or finger inside the bristles or onto a toothbrush. The bristles can be found on the right side of your face and are held in place from above.
