The Book of Isaiah
From a time when Isaiah was making his prophecies, he gave an introduction, saying, "Ye shall know the land of My people and the name called Babylon by the name of My people. It shall be My land which shall I establish and where My people dwell, and which I will build, and which He shall cast down from his throne. He will come up from heaven and He shall establish My kingdom in the land of My people, and I will raise up My people before the nations of the earth from among them the sons of men." (Hosea 1:39–40) This would be called the history of the nations, and what this "history" would involve is yet more mysterious, but still there is nothing at all to suggest Isaiah was referring to Israel at all. What we know is that Israel invaded Jerusalem five thousand years ago and had the ability of raising up the people. It should be noted that this historical aspect of Isaiah's prophecy also means that Israel did not establish a large military base during this time, although it would later become part of the empire. This fact alone would support Isaiah's statement of "I will establish every nation on the earth in its possession."
